How It Works

Isn’t it time for professional training—live or online—to be designed for the 21st century?

When any professional has so much to learn in order to structure and manage digital information, why do we insist on trying to teach and learn using 20th century models? In this world of social networks, visual online exploration, and on-demand knowledge acquisition, most training—especially in law and technology—remains bogged down in the traditional classroom lecture talking-head format. Boring. No direct connection to the skills professionals must display in order to succeed.

Sure, there are slideshows that come with the lectures, but “death by bulletpoint” only makes the lecture worse, not better. And, admit it, few people ever really goes back and consults the three-ring notebooks that are passed out in every training. These materials just collect dust on the bottom bookshelf.

My training is not filled with war stories; instead, I build courses and tools that enable professionals to engage with the problems they face and navigate toward solutions—faster, cheaper, better. Instruction and tools that are interactive and functional, Focused on building skills, not just presenting the same information someone can read in a textbook. Isn’t that what training is supposed to achieve?

My training also tackles the critical need professionals have that the time they invest in learning: immediately arming them with tools they can carry into their very next meetings, tools that enable them to immediately use what they have learned! My training employs the very process maps, risk maps and models that the professional will use in their work. Practical, focused and useful. Immediate utility—isn’t that the result we’re all seeking?
